Two UQ Rugby Academy players Con Foley and Sam Reiser have been named as part of the 28-man squad to play in South Africa for the IRB Junior World Championships next month.
“It’s really exciting for the boys,” manager David Enfantie said. “We’re really happy to see them make the squad and hopefully they play well in South Africa.”
Both players were part of UQ’s Rugby Academy and began with goals of playing to their absolute peak.
Foley has since gone on to represent Australia in Sevens while Reiser, despite his injuries, has played in the ARU National Academy.
They were also both part of the exciting Premier Colts team which won last year’s premiership.
